The Great Outdoors

There’s no doubt about it, the best part of Iowa, is its beautiful rural charm. Our inn is nestled among the gently rolling hills of the Iowa prairie. Take a walk down our country road, and never meet a car. If you're quiet, you will see deer, rabbits, hawks, eagles, ground squirrels, and yes, a couple of our farm cats! In the barnyard meet some honest to goodness cows, sheep, chickens, a miniature horse, and even a goat! Enjoy a stroll on a native prairie trail and then roast marshmallows for s'mores on a campfire. Take in a beautiful sunset while sitting on the porch swing…later, gaze at the stars without the competition from city lights. If kids are part of your trip, they will love the tree house, play house and breathtaking tree swings!
